LAND OWNERS MAGNIFIQUE
Here is a list of our real estate holdings past and present:
FORSBERG PROPERTIES
This is our family owned Real estate Corp. Holdings in California include two houses and an apartment building. The company focuses on distressed and abandoned buildings located in areas of the inner city which are in transition towards rehabilitation. We fix the buildings up before they are torn down. Our goal is to refurbish entire neighborhoods, keeping the architectural stamp of the original design of the building. We focus on old Hollywood, Classic Los Angeles, Craftsmans and Victorians.

NOTE: We had a great ride on the Los Angeles Real Estate wave from 1999 to 2006. The money that we made all went into our next property and our living expenses and it was a great life as a landlord. But our hearts were always in film and theater and we only refurbished real estate because we love old houses and hate to see them torn down or turned into stucco nightmares, and of course because we were good at it and we made a great living. But by early 2005 the market began to slip. We tried to quickly fix up our last five remaining properties so we could sell them before the market collapsed but some difficult times fell before us and there was a death in the family and then Katrina hit and prices fell and we were stuck. We lowered our asking prices to just a little more than we owed and slowly we sold one then another. We made almost no money from the sales and even lost about a quarter of a million dollars on two of the buildings.
So we decided to sell our house. We had an opportunity to make a movie which was going to be purchased on a negative pick up by the Asylum. So we used the money from the sale of our house to survive and help front some cash for the film. We had moved our focus from Real Estate to the Movie Business in the nick of time. We are now producing our third project with two more on the horizon and the property market has collapsed. Our goal is to make movies until the market settles and then to buy something again. But as of the end of 2006 we have only the cabin in Big Bear and a rental in Los Angeles. Life is an ever changing adventure.

PLAYERS WORKSHOP PRODUCTIONS
This company is the California arm of Players Workshop, a family owned business in Chicago which was started by my mother, Josephine Forsberg for the purpose of training people how to improvise for the Second City stage since 1971. Over the decades of classes many stars were made and productions were mounted. Players Workshop Productions is dedicated to maintaining a web site which describes the history of the Chicago improv school, it’s long time but unofficial relationship with the Second City, and the nature of Jo’s work. PWP also holds video tapes of all of the students graduation shows (a 90 minute satirical revue) as well as tapes of other shows. Many soon to be stars can be seen on stage before they ever did a professional show. It is the goal of PWP that this important history not be forgotten.
